Helping those who help our neighbors

Tri-City Healthcare District (TCHD) is committed to working collaboratively to improve health and well being in our community.

Each year the TCHD Board of Directors allocates funds for healthcare projects of non-profit agencies located in and serving residents of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista.

On June 30, 2011, we awarded $300,000 in grants to 22 local non-profit programs. Applications were reviewed and recommendations were made by the Community Healthcare Alliance Committee (CHAC).

Grants were awarded to address three areas selected by the CHAC:

• Healthcare access
• Health conditions related to lifestyle, including obesity and overweight, physical activity and exercies, diabetes, and heart disease
• Mental health
