Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) strikes as many as 5-12% of U.S. children. It is the most common learning and behavior problem in children today, yet it can be difficult to identify and diagnose.
If left untreated, ADHD can take a tremendous toll. Research shows that without proper treatment, those with ADHD are more likely to drop out of school, have substance abuse/dependence problems, or experience interpersonal difficulties. With proper treatment many people diagnosed with ADHD have had enormous successes despite the challenges.
