Physical Therapy's focus is in restoring the functional use of the body after injury, surgery, or disease. Individualized therapeutic exercise programs, modalities for healing or pain control, and patient education all may be incorporated in order to improve range of motion, strength, coordination, or pain level. Specialized training in the use of adaptive equipment may also occur in the effort to return the individual to the highest level of function possible. A variety of programs are available to meet the needs of those with specialized conditions, including orthopedic and neurological diagnoses in our adult and pediatric populations, as well as those with lymphedema, post-amputee care, balance and vestibular disorders, or those in need of ergonomic consultation or pool therapy.
