You don't have to go through your journey alone. Joining a support group can help with healing, feelings of isolation, and depression We offer several support services to help you and your loved ones with the challenges of cancer.
Support Groups
Bereavement Support Group - Led by a trained therapist, this group meets regularly at the hospital. No registration is required. Call 760-940-5884 for dates and times. FREE
Bereavement Support Walking Group - Join others who have lost a loved one to walk in scenic local areas. Call 760-940-5801 for dates and times. FREE
Breast Cancer Support Group - Gather with women who have or have had breast cancer to share their experiences, learn coping techniques, and find emotional support through the strength and warmth of those who understand. Call 760-940-7007 for dates and times. FREE
Classes
"Look Good, Feel Better" - Some say beauty is only skin deep, but when you are undergoing cancer treatment, looking good really can help you feel better. This class shows women special skin care and cosmetic techniques and provides tips on wearing wigs and scarves. Call 760-940-5647 for more information. FREE
Community Education Classes - We frequently schedule presentations by healthcare providers who specialize in cancer care. Check calendar for upcoming events. FREE
I Can Cope© - Classes are held by telephone each week for patients and caregivers. Talk with others, get answers to your questions, learn skills to manage your cancer experience. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society. FREE
Counseling
Chaplain - We have chaplains on staff who offer caring and compassion. They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Preserving dignity and offering respect are their highest priorities. Call 760-940-7954 to speak to one of them.
Chapel - Our chapel is found on the first floor of the hospital and offers a quiet place for reflection.
Counseling - When you can't do it alone, we can help. Tri-City Medical Center's Behavioral Health Outpatient Services offers counseling for patients, loved ones, and their families. Call 760-940-5050 to learn more about how we can help.
